Community development. This is the next focus of PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (Waskita Precast). If previously the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program was still at the charity and philanthropy stage, now Waskita Precast will slowly realize a sustainable community development program.

Community Development is a process of community empowerment (humanizing humans) which is carried out according to needs and is able to become a solution to solve existing problems in society, with the involvement/participation of the community to develop themselves and their environment in a sustainable manner.

To realize this program, Waskita Precast is collaborating with state universities, namely IPB University and the University of Indonesia. Later, the two universities will carry out more in-depth social mapping to continue the social mapping that was previously carried out by Waskita Precast.

Then, they will send community assistants who will go directly to observe the problems and needs of the community and together with the community develop an empowerment program. With this empowerment, it is hoped that the community will be independent and can contribute to their environment

Later, social mapping will be carried out in the villages/subdistricts/district areas around the production unit area. The Central Public Relations Department together with the KSDM of the production unit conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with stakeholders in the Village/Subdistrict/District to find out what problems are occurring in the area, what the current conditions are in the area, what the needs of the community are.

The FGD was carried out to collect data on several of these issues, so that later it could become a reference for developing effective and efficient CSR programs according to community needs. Through sustainable social activities, Waskita Precast tries its best to have a positive impact on the environment and create community prosperity and independence.
